Why Fur the Luv Exists

Hi, I’m the human behind Fur the Luv.
And yes — I’m a cat person. Like, the real kind of cat person.

I started this box because I love cats (obviously) and I love getting subscription boxes — the excitement, the surprise, the “is my cat going to scream, side‑eye, or immediately sit in the box?” moment.
Turns out, a lot of us live for that moment.

🐾 The cats who inspired this chaos

My journey’s had more heartbreak than I’d like to admit:

  • My tuxedo boy, Franklin, kept me company for 12 wonderful years until he passed.

  • After him, I brought home a tiny black kitten named Oscar — who was equal parts gremlin and angel.

  • Then came barn‑cat siblings, Khan and Annie.
    Sadly, Annie’s curiosity took her under a treadmill, and she never made it out. And not long after, Oscar slipped out the door and never came back — country life can be cruel like that.

Now it’s me and Khan. And yes — he’s the boss.

🎉 Why a box? Why sardine‑core? Why now?

Because life is weird, sometimes sad, and definitely unpredictable.
But opening a box of silly, slightly fishy, definitely cat‑approved surprises?
That moment always feels good.

I wanted Fur the Luv to be more than “random cat junk.”
Every box is curated to match the month’s vibe, national days we love, and things that will genuinely delight cats and humans.
Because joy shouldn’t be basic.

🧷 More than toys and treats

It’s about community, laughter, and tiny shared rituals:

  • Celebrating a box day with your cat

  • Laughing at them ignoring the toy but living for the packaging

  • Feeling connected to other cat‑obsessed weirdos

And yes — a portion of what Fur the Luv makes will go to help rescue cats.
(Not huge — I still have to feed Khan and keep the lights on — but real, and growing.)

Because cats rule our homes.
